Clare is the Manager of Corporate Retirement Plan Services at MCF. She joined the Covington office in 2017 and is dedicated to delivering exceptional client experience to MCF’s institutional clients. Clare provides leadership in plan administration, plan design, DOL and ERISA compliance, and investment consultation. Clare earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University in 2015. Prior to joining MCF, she worked as an Audit Staff Accountant at a public accounting firm from 2014 to 2017. 

 Clare now lives in Independence, KY, with her husband Scott, their daughter Elys, son Thomas, two dogs, Vesta and Ash, and their cat, Zeppelin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and listening to audiobooks.

Tom is a Financial Advisor and is based in the Lexington office. He graduated from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law and Transylvania University. Tom was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal while at UK Law.  

Before joining MCF, Tom was Associate Vice President for Philanthropy, Senior Philanthropic Advisor and Associate General Counsel at the University of Kentucky. Tom specialized in working with donors to make transformative charitable gifts to UK. He also led a team that provided legal services in the areas of charitable giving, non-profit tax, gift agreements and probate and trust administration. Tom served as Corporate Secretary and primary operational executive for the UK Real Estate Foundation, Inc. 

Before UK, Tom was in private legal practice in Lexington, KY and focused on estate planning, probate and trust administration and general business matters. Tom brings a unique background to wealth management through his experience structuring over $400 Million in charitable contributions through a wide range of complex assets and tax efficient strategies, along with expertise working with families, private foundations, donor advised funds and real estate.  

Tom lives in Central Kentucky with his partner, Dr. Leigh DeLair, and their three children. Outside of work, Tom and Leigh enjoy spending a majority of their time working on their farm.

An avid sports fan, Shawn enjoys watching college sports, running, and biking. He has completed several half-Ironman races and numerous marathons and half-marathons. Marta brings more than 20 years of executive-level administrative and personal support experience and is based in MCF’s Lexington office. She has a strong background in organization, discretion, and proactive problem-solving, and has supported leadership teams across a variety of industries, including the equine industry with Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, automotive manufacturing with Montaplast of North America, and quick-service restaurants with A&W Restaurants, Inc. 

Raised in a military family, Marta was born on an American military base in Germany while her father served in the U.S. Army. After his retirement, her family settled in Owingsville, Kentucky. She later moved to Lexington in her twenties to pursue expanded professional opportunities and continues to build her career in Central Kentucky.

Prior to joining MCF, Kris held investment advisory and portfolio management roles at firms in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Northern Kentucky University, an MBA in Finance from Xavier University, and an M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Cincinnati. Kris has served on the board of the Kentucky Public Employees’ Deferred Compensation Plan since 2020 and currently acts as Chairman. Kristen began her career in healthcare compliance, focusing on mass tort litigation and lien resolution. She later transitioned into financial services, gaining experience in life insurance, annuities, retirement planning, disability income, and most recently, the mutual fund and exchange-traded fund space. Her broad background provides a well-rounded perspective on regulatory risk and operational compliance across multiple sectors of the industry. 

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University and her Juris Doctor from University of Akron School of Law. Kristen holds the Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) designations, and maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.

Bob is the Chairman and Co-Founder of MCF Advisors, based in our Covington office. Prior to establishing MCF, he served as Regional Chief Executive Officer for CIGNA Financial Advisors, where he spent 30 years before retiring in 2000. 

A dedicated leader and philanthropist, Bob has served on numerous boards across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, including Playhouse in the Park, Carnegie Arts Center, Cincinnati Ballet, Thomas More College, and Cancer Family Care. He was also a founder of The Bank of Kentucky and has led various charitable fundraising efforts throughout the region. 

Bob holds an Honorary Doctorate from Thomas More College and has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Dorothy Wood Community Service Award, the Bishop Hughes Award for contributions to Catholic higher education, and the Presidents’ Award from his alma mater, Luther College.

After building deep expertise in markets and investment strategy from an institutional perspective, he transitioned in 2005 to working directly with clients. Todd is known for his steady, educational approach—helping clients build sustainable financial plans, make confident decisions, and navigate evolving market conditions with clarity and purpose. 

Todd is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Stewart is a Tax Advisor at MCF, based in our Lexington office. He brings over 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in tax planning for closely held businesses and their owners. He joined the firm in 2023. 

Stewart earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 1974. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) before co-founding Duncan, Smith & Stilz, CPA in 1978, where he remained until joining MCF. 

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Kentucky Society of CPAs (KSCPA), the Bluegrass Angels, and the Investment Associates of Lexington. He is also a member of the Thoroughbred Club of America and a lifetime member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association. 

In his free time, Stewart enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his fiancée, Julie.

Jim is a Tax Advisor at MCF, based in our Lexington office. He joined the firm in 2023 with over 45 years of experience in tax planning and preparation. He began his career in 1977 with John A. Duncan, CPA, and later became a partner in the firm Duncan, Smith & Stilz, PSC, where he worked until 2022. 

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Kentucky Society of CPAs (KSCPA). 

He lives in Lexington with his wife, Cecilia, and their two sons. Together, they are active members of the Church of the Savior, participating in a variety of programs and community activities.

Ramsey is a Senior Wealth Transfer Advisor at MCF, based in our Lexington office. She provides strategic estate planning guidance to high-net-worth individuals and families, including trust and estate administration and planning for business-related interests. She joined MCF in October 2024 and launched MCF Legal, PLLC. 

Ramsey holds a double major in Psychology and Political Science from Western Kentucky University and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012. She previously served as a judicial law clerk and spent nearly a decade focusing exclusively on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and asset protection. 

Ramsey is licensed to practice law in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Wyoming. She formerly served on the North Charleston Planning Commission and was appointed by Mayor R. Keith Summey in 2017. 

She lives in Lexington with her daughter, Ellie Grace, and their two dogs, Jackson and Lucy. Ramsey attends Southland Christian Church and is active in the community as a member of the University of Kentucky’s Women & Philanthropy organization and a co-coach for the Lexington Christian Little Eagles Cheer team.

Before joining MCF, Monica spent time her time developing vast array of skills, working primarily in client service, compliance, office administration, and marketing as an Administrative Officer at Accredited Wealth Management. 

Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Western Kentucky University. Originally from Bowling Green, KY, she now resides in Louisville with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and exploring the outdoors.

Tricia is the Client Experience Coordinator at MCF, based in our Cincinnati office. In this role, she supports the client service team and helps ensure a seamless, organized experience for clients through attentive communication and thoughtful coordination. She brings a strong background in administrative support and client scheduling across both the financial services and medical fields. 

Prior to joining MCF, Tricia worked at The Christ Hospital, where she coordinated surgical schedules for a team of orthopedic surgeons. That experience strengthened her attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. 

A Cincinnati native, Tricia lives in Loveland, Ohio, with her husband, Rob. They have three children and four grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Christy is a Senior Tax Advisor and Team Lead based in our Lexington office.  She joined the firm in 2025 and leads the tax department, providing strategic tax planning, compliance and consulting services to our clients.  Christy has experience with complex individual and business taxation, trust and estate matters, business succession planning, international tax considerations, and wealth transfer strategies. 

Prior to joining MCF Advisors, Christy most recently was in public accounting at Dean Dorton Allen & Ford PLLC and has also held various financial roles in private industry including Chief Financial Officer.  She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Kentucky Society of CPAs. Christy earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and her Master of Science in Taxation at Bentley College. 

Christy lives on a farm in Versailles with her husband, Brad, and their three boys.  She serves as Treasurer on the boards of Equestrian Events Inc and Construction Financial Management Association and is a parishioner at the Cathedral of Christ the King.  In her free time, she enjoys watching the boys play sports and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

Jerry is a Senior Financial Advisor at MCF, based in our Cincinnati office. Jerry is committed to delivering thoughtful, personalized guidance built on long-term relationships and trust. 

Prior to joining MCF, Jerry spent more than 20 years at Fidelity Investments, where he held advisory and management roles. He later served as a financial advisor at TIAA-CREF for three years. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Dayton. 

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Jerry lives in Cincinnati with his wife, Amy, and their four children, Paige, Taylor, Carter, and Colin. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the St. Bart’s Parish Council and co-chairing the annual St. Bart’s Summer Festival. He has also served as Treasurer and President of the St. Bart’s Athletic Association and previously coached his children in volleyball, basketball, and soccer. In his free time, Jerry enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and watching sports.
