The Best Places to Work in Kentucky program recognizes organizations across the Commonwealth that demonstrate excellence in workplace culture, employee engagement, and organizational leadership. The program evaluates companies through a two-part assessment process that reviews workplace policies and practices alongside confidential employee feedback surveys.

MCF Advisors - Best Places to Work in Kentucky is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the Commonwealth’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback. The process, managed by Workforce Research Group, is based on an assessment of a company’s employee policies and procedures, as well as the results of an internal employee survey. The award is sponsored by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, SHRM Kentucky (formerly KYSHRM), and a rotating third-party sponsor (ClearPath Mutual Insurance Company, 2020–2023; Lifestyle Health Plans, 2019; CHI Saint Joseph Health, 2024–2026). Firms receive an email invitation to participate in the survey. MCF employees, active as of January 20, 2026, received an email invitation to participate in the 2026 survey. No payment was required for participating in the survey, however, MCF is a dues-paying member of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Each company that chooses to participate in the survey process does pay a fee for the administration and completion of the employer and employee survey so that data dashboard and feedback can be received. Each year, 100 companies are selected as winners. The total number of participating companies is not disclosed. MCF attends the annual awards banquet, where winner rankings are announced, and which requires payment for the cost of attendance. The date of the 2026 banquet is June 18.
